Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts is thrilled to announce the opening of New Orleans Social House, or NOSH, in the former location of Tommy’s Wine Bar at the corner of Julia and Tchoupitoulas streets in the Warehouse District. Bar Manager Jay Teichmann joins Executive Chef Michael Farrel for this unique, new restaurant concept featuring world-class wines, craft cocktails, live music, and distinctively local cuisine. Chef Michael has designed a progressive, small plates menu that suggests guests should “get social, share and enjoy.”

Marv Ammari, Chief Executive Officer of Creole Cuisine states, “From conception, we knew we wanted to create a fun, social spot where people can come and be themselves, and just hang out. NOSH is just that, a restaurant bar specializing in great food and drinks.” The property that houses New Orleans Social House underwent a significant renovation in preparation for the opening. It sits adjacent to Tommy’s Cuisine, another Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concept establishment.

Chef Michael’s opening menu includes snacks, small plates, flatbreads and tartines, and a fresh seafood bar. “Everything on the menu is designed to be shared,” states Farrel. “Putting together a menu that includes a lot of my favorites, as well as some exciting dishes that appeal to a broad range of people, was a lot of fun.” Snacks on the menu include housemade fingerling potato chips with shallot cream dip, Spanish Marcona almonds with local honey, and marinated olives & sal de maldon. Small plates will cover everything from charcuterie, Brussels sprout salad and Gulf shrimp spring rolls to bison sliders, lobster tacos, and beef carpaccio. A smoked salmon tartine and a fresh ratatouille tartine will join three flatbreads on the menu: wild mushroom with bacon, onion, and gorgonzola; pesto with marinated tomatoes, arugula and parmesan; and Bianca with roasted garlic, fontina, mozzarella, and pecorino. The seafood bar features fresh options including Louisiana oysters, salmon carpaccio, Hamachi tiradito, sushi grade ahi poke, Peruvian ceviche, and grilled octopus carpaccio. The menu will change regularly and seasonally.

New Orleans Social House will have live music every night of the week. Patrons can expect traditional jazz from the Tim Laughlin Trio, to various jazz piano musicians including Larry Seibert, Joe Ashlar, Kris Tokarski, and David Boeddinghaus; the stride jazz of John Royen, modern jazz from David Torkanowsky Trio and the Stephen Gordon Trio; as well as New Orleans jazz from Leroy Jones, and Tom Hook and Wendell Brunious, and the swing jazz of the Larry Scala trio. Also making appearances are vocalist Matt Lemmler on jazz piano and Joe Krown with his New Orleans brand of blues and funk.

New Orleans Social House is located at 746 Tchoupitoulas St., New Orleans. They will be serving Sunday to Thursday from 4 PM – 11 PM and Friday – Saturday 4 PM-12 AM. To view their menu online, you can find the menu here: http://www.noshneworleans.com/menus/.
