Enjoy a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner on Tuesday, February 14 at Annunciation, located in New Orleans trendy Art District with signature dishes like Baked Oysters with Chappapeela Farms house made boudin and a brown butter hollandaise served atop a bed of herb and beet salt; Chappapeela Farms Pork Osso Buco with charred corn, Papa Tom’s cheese grits and local peppers; and Sweet Corn & Kale Risotto with jumbo lump crab, smoked tomato vinaigrette and herb oil. Accompany your meal with one of two specialty cocktails for the evening like the Lemon Cherry Spritzer with Luxardo Liqueur, orchard cherry liqueur, lemon and prosecco ($8) or Chocolate Satsuma with Satsuma Rum, Godiva Liqueur and Grand Marnier ($8). Dessert is a Cornbread Cake (for two) with strawberries and pralines with warm popcorn creme anglaise ($12).
Annunciation is located at 1016 Annunciation Street in New Orleans. Dinner is served Sunday – Thursday 5:30PM – 10PM; Friday and Saturday 5:30PM – 11PM. Brunch is served Sunday 11AM – 2PM and Happy Hour is available Monday – Friday 4:30PM – 6:30PM in the bar area.
Compère Lapin, New Orleans’ hottest dining destination by Chef Nina Compton, is serving a prix-fixe Valentine’s Day tasting menu on Tuesday, February 14 for $85 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). Lovers can indulge on dishes like Oyster en Gelee with cucumber; Foie Gras Royale with sauternes and brioche; Coconut Fat Rice with lobster and trout roe; Scallops with chanterelles and black truffles; Filet of Beef with glazed root vegetables; and Sour Sop Semifreddo with blood orange granite.
Compère Lapin is located in the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery at 535 Tchoupitoulas Street, in New Orleans’ Warehouse District. The restaurant serves lunch daily from 11:30AM – 2:30PM, Happy Hour Monday – Friday 3PM – 6PM, and dinner nightly from 5:30PM – 11PM. Valet parking is $5 and ample municipal parking is available.
At Trinity, the bustling restaurant and bar on Lower Decatur that has been has been touted as one of the city’s best restaurants by Conde Nast Traveler and Opentable, Chef Michael Isolani will serve up an aphrodisiac special on Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14. Priced at $12, the Bama Beauties feature a selection of oysters served with horseradish-lemon bubbles and tomato caviar. In addition to the Valentine’s special, guests can also indulge on five other types of oyster dishes, as well as a variety of signature plates such as crawfish & fontina beignets; ricotta gnudi and crispy pork belly with creole caramel. A variety of wines, bubbles and cocktails are the perfect accompaniment to put you in the mood.
Trinity is located at 1117 Decatur Street in New Orleans and will be open on Valentine’s Day for regular dinner hours from 6PM – 10PM.
